That time has just arrived with the mid-year 2013 launch of Volgren’s ‘Optimus’ low floor city bus.
Like all impending success stories, Project Optimus was a team effort, kept closely under wraps, with even the closest confidante of the research and development team sworn to secrecy as the designers and engineers bunkered down at Volgren’s Dandenong factory for a three-year assault on delivering a city bus game changer.
